Push Hands

“Push hands” is the English translation for tui shou, and is a term for the foundational two-person training methods employed in Taijiquan. Partners learn to be comfortable practicing gentle movements with each other while maintaining a soft but continuous contact. The deeper skills associated with Taiji are thus developed, simultaneously benefiting both partners’ cultivation.
